Brooke Winkelman
Dance Instructor
Brooke Winkelman is a dancer, choreographer, and dance educator based in Los Angeles. She graduated from University of the Arts where she received a BFA in Dance under Donna Faye Burchfield and a minor in Business. Previously, she trained at Centre Pointe in Baltimore where she studied a variety of styles and later returned to serve as a teacher.
She currently trains and performs with Geometry Dance Company under the direction of Mackenzie Martin and Mason Lee Dance Theatre. Other performance experience includes work choreographed and directed by Sidra Bell, Tommie-Waheed Evans, Katie Swords Thurman, and Sara Procopio and most recently, “i used me to make this 4 u” choreographed by Mark Caserta. Additionally, Brooke danced in the Bad Boys of Ballet with the Adrienne Canterna Maryland Concert Series.

Kids Beginner Hip Hop (ages 4-7)
This beginner Hip Hop class provides a fun, beginner-friendly atmosphere that encourages students to dive into the rhythm and find confidence through dance! Work on musicality and coordinated movement, learn choreographic phrases, and express yourself through social dancing! This class is recommended for kids ages 4-7, or beginners.
Kids Intermediate/Advanced Hip Hop (ages 8-15)
Brooke’s intermediate/advanced level Hip Hop class encourages students to dive into the rhythm and find confidence through dance! Learn how to isolate, coordinate, and integrate various hip hop and street dance styles into your movement vocabulary while learning choreographic phrases. This class is recommended for kids and teens ages 8-15 who have some prior experience with dance.
Jazz Leaps & Turns (ages 4-7)
A high energy class based in jazz technique, open to beginners and young dancers ages 4-7 yrs! Learn exciting new skills in a fun and inclusive environment, dance to your favorite music, and learn to take care of your body with stretching & strengthening.
Kids Beginner Lyrical (ages 8-12)
Lyrical combines the technique of ballet, jazz and modern dance styles with the musicality of contemporary dance. In this class, dancers will learn how to expand their movement vocabulary and express emotion through movement. This class will work at a beginner/intermediate level,
